A music teacher's website can easily end up looking like a performer's press kit. That may be useful if performing is part of the business, but students also need to understand the teaching. The best starting point depends on whether you're introducing one teacher, a studio, or a broader education offer.
Minoru is our first pick for a teaching-first personal website. Waverly is better when the teacher's identity as a musician should lead, while Cruz gives recordings and performance a more prominent setting. Meriden and Learnable are alternatives for a broader program-led business.
1. Minoru — A teacher before a performer
Minoru — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Minoru's language-tutor demo leads with a name, a small portrait, and an immediately visible explanation of the teaching approach. Its playful colors and oversized type make the teacher feel approachable.
We'd adapt it for an independent music teacher who wants lessons to be the obvious purpose of the site. The subject matter changes, but the relationship stays close: a learner choosing a particular person. It is a stronger structural fit than a touring musician's demo when the website doesn't need to promote releases or shows.

2. Waverly — A musician with a clear personal identity
Waverly — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Waverly's split opening places a short introduction and email signup beside a large portrait. It feels like meeting a working musician, with very little decorative framing.
That can work well for a teacher whose performing identity is an important part of the appeal. The opening would need to make lessons more prominent than the demo's music updates. We'd choose it for a concise personal site, especially if you already have a good portrait and a clear description of the students you teach. See our Waverly review for the original musician-focused presentation.

3. Cruz — Teaching alongside a performance career
Cruz — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Cruz introduces a singer-songwriter through a portrait, substantial name-and-role statement, and an invitation to listen. Its darker palette and larger type give the artist a confident presence.
We'd consider it when recordings, performance, and lessons all belong to the same public identity. Compared with Waverly, the first impression is more explicitly about listening to the artist. If teaching is the only offer, Minoru will need less restructuring. Cruz earns its place when the music itself should help introduce the teacher.

4. Meriden — Workshops and several teaching programs
Meriden — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Meriden's coaching demo balances a portrait with large lettering and a list of subjects. That gives several strands of work visibility without making the page feel like a school prospectus.
We'd adapt it for a teacher offering private lessons, workshops, and group programs under one personal brand. It is less directly musical than Waverly, but more comfortable presenting a range of offers. The choice comes down to what should lead: the musician or the learning opportunities.

5. Learnable — A paid option for an education business
Learnable — archived catalog screenshot; compare the seller’s current demo before purchase.
Learnable by Studio Mesa is an alternative for a music educator with courses, resources, or several programs. We'd compare it when the teaching business has grown beyond a simple personal introduction. It would be excessive for a teacher who needs little more than a clear lesson page and contact details.

Our recommendation
Choose Minoru when teaching should be unmistakable from the start. Waverly and Cruz are stronger when a musician's public identity supports the lesson business. Meriden and Learnable make sense when students need to choose among several kinds of learning.
