Best Squarespace Templates for Contractors

A contractor's website can introduce the business through finished projects, a particular trade, or the people doing the work. The template should make that choice clear. A gallery of beautiful interiors may suit a remodeler, but say very little about a general contractor building new homes.

Oranssi is our first pick for a construction or general-contracting business. Sawyer is a closer fit for a specialist local trade. Sackett and Kearny suit craft-led businesses, while Bergen offers a more design-oriented portfolio direction.

1. Oranssi — A direct construction-business introduction

Oranssi — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.

Oranssi opens with large lettering identifying new-home builders, a strong blue background, and a photograph of work in progress. A contact button is visible in the header. It feels like a construction business before you read further.

We'd choose it for a general contractor or builder who wants the business to look capable and active. The bold layout is less dependent on immaculate interior photography than a design portfolio. Its strength is the direct combination of trade, people, and work. Our Oranssi review offers more detail on the demo.

2. Sawyer — A specialist trade with a clear service

Sawyer's painting-business demo pairs a large service statement with photographs arranged in a more editorial composition. It introduces what the business does without needing a long company history.

That makes it a natural candidate for painters, decorators, and other specialist contractors. We'd choose it over Oranssi when one trade or distinctive finish is the main offer. The visual style is softer and more residential. It may feel less appropriate for a larger commercial contractor with a more industrial identity.

3. Sackett — A business where craftsmanship leads

Sackett — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.

Sackett's woodworking demo fills the opening with tools, materials, and finished work. The typography is restrained, allowing the photographs to establish the character of the business.

We'd choose it for custom joinery, cabinetry, or a contractor whose craftsmanship is a central selling point. It is less naturally suited to a broad general-contracting company. Compared with Oranssi, the impression is intimate and material-focused: a closer look at how things are made rather than a statement about the scale of the operation.

4. Kearny — A small hands-on workshop

Kearny — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.

Kearny introduces a woodworking studio through a large photograph of hands at work and a brief statement. The opening feels personal and practical, with a visible contact route.

That can suit a small contractor or maker whose identity is tied to the workshop. We'd choose it when process photographs are stronger than a large catalog of finished projects. Sackett offers a more atmospheric composition; Kearny makes a particularly direct introduction to the work happening at the bench.

5. Bergen — A design-led renovation portfolio

Bergen — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.

Bergen's interior-design demo opens with a considered statement about spaces and large, clean photographs. Work, services, and process are clearly signposted in the header.

We'd adapt it for a renovation business with strong finished-project photography and a design-conscious audience. It is less useful for a contractor whose projects are difficult to show visually. The reason to choose Bergen is the portfolio presentation; Oranssi remains the clearer all-round construction starting point.

Match the template to the evidence you have

Oranssi is our default for builders. Sawyer suits a specialist local service. Sackett and Kearny make craftsmanship tangible, while Bergen is strongest when the finished spaces should lead.

The most useful test is the photographs you can supply. Work-in-progress images, workshop scenes, and completed interiors each tell a different story. For more visual directions, see our interior-design template guide and portfolio template guide, or browse the template directory.
