Best Squarespace Templates for Coffee Shops

A coffee shop can be a quick stop, a neighborhood living room, a bakery, or a serious retail coffee brand. The website should give someone a sense of which one they're looking at. The best template isn't necessarily the one with the most coffee photographs—it is the one closest to how the business actually works.
Eldridge is our first choice for a neighborhood café. Loam suits a bakery-café with a stronger product identity, Hemlock offers a playful visual direction, and Belisa is an interesting choice for a café that becomes a bar in the evening.
1. Eldridge — A café with a story and a familiar room
Eldridge — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Eldridge opens with a wide photograph of the counter, followed by a substantial story section. Its pale background and restrained serif headings feel comfortable and established rather than starkly minimal.
We'd choose it for a café where the space and the people are part of the reason customers return. The room can make the introduction, with the story adding context afterwards. It is a more naturally café-oriented starting point than adapting a restaurant with a strong dinner-service identity. Our Eldridge review offers a closer look.

2. Loam — A bakery-café with products to show
Loam — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Loam leads with a large typographic statement over a photograph of bread and baking ingredients. The bright blue lettering and open layout give it more energy than Eldridge.
That makes it a good candidate for a café where baking, products, or classes are a recognizable part of the business. We'd choose it when the things you make deserve as much attention as the room. Eldridge feels more like a place to settle in; Loam feels more like a food brand with an active point of view.

3. Hemlock — A playful independent café
Hemlock — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Hemlock's pale yellow page, orange lettering, and unusual photograph framing give it a distinctive identity before the menu appears. Its restaurant-and-bar demo translates naturally to a café with a similar sense of fun.
We'd choose it for a business whose signage, packaging, or interiors already have personality. It is less useful if you want the website to feel neutral and anonymous. The typography is a large part of the appeal, so imagine it with your actual shop name before committing.

4. Belisa — Coffee by day, drinks by night
Belisa — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Belisa's dark red palette, cocktail photography, and elegant lettering introduce an evening venue. The composition is atmospheric and relatively sparse.
For a café-bar, that can be a useful direction, particularly when the evening business deserves more visibility. It would need a different balance of photographs for a coffee-led version. We'd choose Eldridge for a conventional daytime café and Belisa when the transition into evening is an important part of the identity.

5. Chotto — A small café with a compact website
Chotto — official demo, captured October 18, 2026.
Chotto's white space, centered address, and single food image make it one of the simplest openings in this selection. There is very little between the visitor and the essential impression of the place.
We'd consider it for a small café with a focused menu and strong visual identity. It is less suited to a business trying to explain wholesale, several locations, and an extensive retail operation from the first page. The simplicity is useful when the business is similarly clear.

6. Chuckwagon — A paid food-business alternative
Chuckwagon — seller-provided preview, credited to Strong Sites.
Chuckwagon by Strong Sites is worth comparing for a café that wants a more developed food-business design. We'd consider it when the native layouts don't quite match the brand. A straightforward neighborhood café should still compare its fuller presentation with Eldridge's quieter approach before buying.

Our recommendation
Eldridge is the strongest default for a café built around the place. Loam is better when the products and baking deserve the opening. Hemlock and Belisa offer more specific personalities, while Chotto keeps things compact.
